For this first edition, the Power Grinders (Jonathan Franc, Pablo Six, Raphael Detienne & Samuel de Graef) got best overall crew!

BYRRRH BANG is a concept from the ‘Byrrrh & skate’ skatepark.
It’s a mix of punk live shows & skateboarding activities.
Because we see Byrrrh & skate as our second home, we decided to take care of the skateboarding program for this third edition. This day was one of the best yet:

Youngsters just throwed themselves into the -16 session, we had 15 ladies joining us for the girl jam (which is really a lot for any contest in Belgium/Europe) and
10 double trouble pairs; like Jarne Verbruggen & Maité Steendhoudt for example.
The mix with punkheads for the live shows heated things up even more:
the crowd was excited and a extraordinary  vibe took over the whole area. This inspired skaters to reach new limits, with huge bangers as a result, in the double trouble contest, as well as in the best trick & tricks 4 cash jams.

We heard a lot about how the previous editions of ‘BYRRRH BANG’ were legendary, but this third edition, with such a heavy skateboarding level; broke all records! Mission accomplished.

For ‘Meeting of styles’, the yearly graffiti jam in Antwerp city,
we hosted the Skate Jam alongside our homies from One Love boardshop!
2 days of skateboarding fun on a pop-up skatepark by Skate Depot.
Different challenges & cash 4 tricks jams on Saturday, a miniramp contest on Sunday!

Nothing but good times & vibes; thank you skateboarding!

A day for all the little shredders who joined the weekend skate courses & skate camps at the Byrrrh & Skate. Tik tak races, highest wallride, longest ollie & skate limbo were super fun challenges to do with the kids!

Another great camp with amazing kids!

This one was for advanced level; first kickflips, boardslides & grinds!

We also did a ‘build your own module’ workshop throughout the last 3 days,
and it turn out great: we made 2 kickers to be placed where you want them.
Tested & approved on the last day!

In February 2019, we gathered a crew of 13 guys for an epic skate journey in Barcelona. Packed with hype, these warriors were ready to take on the streets & parks of this legendary skateboarding city! For 10 days straight we skated street spots, skateparks & DIY's. To spice things up, we added some extra trip challenges for the skaters to complete along the way: Wear a gillet jaune for a whole day, make dinner for the team, skate a scooter, walk a dog, and much more! This video doesn't show you half the fun we had, but it'll give you an idea...

Third and final chapter… What an insane way to end 3 days of skateboarding love at Antwerp Skate Depot.

The level was unseen; we had top skaters from all over Belgium, some of the finest Dutch riders and even a French lil’ ripper coming all the way from Paris!

They all smashed it so hard, the place was on fire!

Day 2, we started the day with some challenges for the youngest riders:
Tik tak race, Highest wallride & highest ollie! Each challenge had his conqueror.

Up next was the under 16 street contest, which had some crazy runs from
Luca Dijkstra. Needles to say he took first place.

Third contest of the day was for all +16 riders.
Local hero Bilail took the gold with spotless runs in qualifiers & final.

Last skateboarding action of the day was the best trick jam on the bank to bank,
like always, these jams run out of time but Samuel De Graef shuted the whole thing down with a massive frontside flip bank to bank after working hard for it!

Starting 3 days of skate mayhem with absolute transition madness on friday…
No categories, no registration, no bullshit: Just drop in and do your thing!

We had 1000 euro to give away that night:

It started with a miniramp jam, with one overall winner (Toon Dierckx).
Second part of the night was a ‘tricks for cash’ jam on added obstacles in the mini.
After the miniramp, we turned our heads to the vert, for another overall winner jam (Oscar Pochet). To end this memorable night, we had 2 challenges in the vert ramp:
-Red carpet channel; we moved 2 red carpets further and further apart.
Largest gap was Szymon Stachon (first try).
-Ring my bell; we mounted a bell above the vert, it went higher & higher…
Raphael Witowski got the highest ring.

Starting the year like we ended it: Byrrrh & skate camp for beginners.
Once again teaching kids the basics & values of skateboarding!
